January Munch & Learn Featuring TheMap's Robert Mundinger

Join us on Monday (1/28) at 6:00pm, as we continue our monthly Munch & Learn series! After each presentation, our workgroups and committees will meet together to work on their projects and ideas for the DIA. To best fuel the conversation, dinner will be on us!

For our January presentation, we're proud to Robert Mundinger, creator of TheMap.io, with the goal to capture and map data to help citizens access and understand data impacting our city (and beyond). This easy to use website offers both raw data as well as mapped visualizations to be able to easily interpret that data. the City of Dallas, NCTCOG, DART, Dallas County, DCAD, State of Texas, and the Federal government all have data - but it can be difficult to find or understand the insights all of this data offers. That doesn’t even touch the hundreds of non-profits in the area that collect data whether it’s through surveys or program information. That’s along with the huge number of private companies that have data they might be willing to share to serve the community. Learn about TheMap and what it can do, then join our STEM, Data and Quality of Life committees to get involved!
